Ammonium acetate is a laboratory-grade, white, hygroscopic solid with the formula NH₄CH₃CO₂. It is commonly referred to as spirit of Mindereus and is derived from the reaction of ammonia and acetic acid. It can be purchased commercially and its chemical formula is C2H7NO2.
